Above: Jay Hinson playing "Joy Trilogy"

for Perimeter Church, Atlanta, 2022

The "Love over Time" songs were made possible through the efforts of the extremely talented Jay Hinson. Hinson arranged and orchestrated the instrumental music to create the great sound that's behind our songs.

Jay Hinson is a musical director, composer, arranger, orchestrator, conductor, producer, and pianist. In addition to earning a B.A. in piano performance, composition, and conducting from Indiana University (often ranked as the world's best music school), he also was privileged to study privately with Leonard Bernstein. He is equally comfortable on the concert/classical stage, in a Broadway orchestra pit, at pop/rock/country venues, in studio recording sessions, or -- his personal favorite -- playing at church for dynamic worship services! Take a listen to his phenomenal Christmas Eve performance in the above video for just a little taste of the gift he brings to worship music.

He was the musical director, conductor, arranger, and orchestrator for the CBS television special John Schneider's Christmas Holiday, toured the United States and  Canada as musical director and pianist–conductor for two National Tour Company Productions (I Do! I Do! and By George: A Musical Sketchbook of George Gershwin), and served as music director at Perimeter Church, a megachurch in the Atlanta area. Hinson has done concert tours of the U.S. West Coast, Russia, and the Middle East, and he is currently owner and producer at Hermit House Recording Studio and 7Z Productions in Atlanta. While both his writing and performing incorporate an eclectic range of musical styles, his overall artistic expression and unique piano stylings are best described as "harmonically rich, passionate, and cinematic."
